Cashmere is soft, light, perfect under a blazer - no excess volume. Merino wool is a great lower-cost alternative. Avoid 100% acrylic - loses shape quickly.
How do I wash a wool sweater?
Hand wash in lukewarm water with a delicate wool detergent. Don't wring - roll in a towel and press. Dry flat, never on a hanger (stretches at the shoulders).
How do I remove pilling?
Electric fabric shaver or a razor (carefully). Pilling usually stops after the first season. Premium knits pill less.
What sweater works as a gift?
Classic turtleneck in black or ecru, V-neck cashmere, or button cardigan. Safe shades: ecru, beige, black, navy, bottle green.
Oversized vs too big - what's the difference?
A well-designed oversized has balanced proportions: dropped shoulders, hip/thigh length, soft yarn that drapes beautifully. „Too big" is wrong size - shapeless.
